10-year bond hits highest level since the dot-com bubble. | |||||||

| Bond market bust: A key rate just blew through another decades-old record Normally, companies that are hyper-sensitive to bond yields should see their stock prices drop to some extent, but they aren't dropping at all. I view this as a very dangerous signal. The current market is simply an anything goes market. And while the S&P 500 has almost reached an all-time high, there are far more companies hitting 52-week lows than those hitting 52-week highs. This kind of phenomenon is also the first since the dot-com bubble. During the dot-com bubble, this phenomenon appeared in December, peaked in March, and then immediately burst. Long-term investors might be fine, but those who are retiring soon or need to cash out should be careful. | |||||||
