Why is AMD acting like this lately? I rebalanced my portfolio, and it's so frustrating.

I was so heavily invested in NVDA that I trimmed about half of it and rebalanced by buying AMD. I knew it had gone up a lot this year, but I thought diversifying was the right move. However, right after I bought it, it slid after earnings and keeps struggling down at the bottom. If I had just left it alone, I would have made a profit, but instead, buying AMD left me down 9% from my average cost, so the loss feels huge. I don't really want to rebalance again, but I wonder if I should just wait and see. It's so frustrating. Everything else on my list is in the green, but that one is all alone in the red...
