Doesn't raising interest rates mean the economy is doing okay? Wouldn't stock prices go up?
Looking at past cases, when interest rates went up, things wobbled briefly, but thinking "ah, the economy is still strong," they went back up again. When interest rates went down, thinking "the economy is bad," stock prices dropped sharply at the first rate cut, and then went up starting from the second cut.
