Longterm investment for SKHY? | |||||||||||||

| To be honest, I don't know much about Korean stocks, but I studied a bit when investing in the ADR and jumped in with a pretty large position. Since I had already been investing quite a bit in the US memory sector, I decided to go with Hynix for my additional purchases. But as soon as I bought the ADR, I started seeing continuous losses, which makes me repeatedly think that a stock's price and a company's quality can diverge, even though my faith in Hynix as a company hasn't changed. In particular, the Korean stock market is not that simple, and looking at the news now, macro issues are so heavily involved that keeping track of both the US and Korea is just too exhausting. It also bothers me that SKHY has too high of a premium compared to the underlying local stock. Fortunately, the price is getting close to my average cost today, so I'm tempted to just liquidate my position and go back to what I used to do—leaving my US semiconductor blue chips alone and steadily accumulating ETFs—even though my original intention was to hold onto this steadily until retirement. I think my conviction has weakened a bit after seeing the losses grow over the past few days. I'm curious to know what those of you who are well-versed in Korean stocks think about this.
