Fidelity is calling me so frequently

I deposited a somewhat large sum of money (large for me) from selling a rental property into Fidelity... and Fidelity called me immediately, asking me to come to a branch for a consultation.

Because of a bad experience in Korea... I just said "Okay" and hung up, and since then, I've ignored their calls while mainly buying QQQ and MU. Then, a few weeks ago, I hastily sold all of my MU.

The next day... it skyrocketed again. As I was sitting there devastated... they called me again right away. Are they watching me sell?!

They still keep calling these days. They even gave me incorrect information about wash sales... Honestly, in this volatile market, I sometimes feel like just giving up and letting them manage it for me!

Why do they usually call so much? Is it worth going in for a consultation? Am I being too narrow-minded because of my past bad memories?

They only do sales for the commission. When I get a call, I tell them I'll call when I need it. Then they don't do it for a while.

Once it exceeds a certain amount, they start pitching to you. I don't think there's anything particularly strange about that.

It feels really weird, right? A year ago, I also had someone from Fidelity keep calling me, asking why I was still holding onto things I lost a lot of money on instead of selling them for the tax benefits, and telling me to reorganize my portfolio, almost as if they were looking into my account every single day... even though I never asked them to look at it. I ignored them in the end, but they really do contact individual investors personally like that. And they didn't even seem like someone with much experience, either.

When Fidelity calls to give advice, I tell them I don't need it. Once (last March), they contacted me after seeing that my account was down 30%... When I said, "don't really need any help, I am planning to wait and see," they asked what my job was and hung up. They haven't called me since then. After that, I ended up recovering almost all of my account... Oh, of course, it's going back down again now T.T I think when you trade stocks, you need to get somewhat used to the ups and downs, and you also need the strength to endure (patience). I don't think it's a scam.
