Is this also a talent? (Currently -40% on blue-chip stocks) | |||||||||||||||

| I started investing in stocks for the first time at the end of May (the problem was that my CD matured and I got a lump sum of money T_T). I've been investing in Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Nvidia, SPY, QQQ, DRAM, and FLKR in my own way, but I'm currently down 40%. It's honestly not easy to lose this much with blue-chip stocks. Looking at the details of the stocks I bought, my blunder was mindlessly buying on whatever day I felt like buying. I should have watched the market a bit, buying when it dropped and stopping when it rose, but instead, I bought like 30 shares a day on days when prices were at their peak. On days when they were at their lowest, I would buy exactly one share. That's why my average cost for every single ticker is incredibly high. It's really hard to mess up like this. Will these losses decrease over time? Especially SPY and QQQ. They say these go up in the long run. T_T
