Here is a summary of Apple's FY2026 Q3 earnings results announced today (July 30, after market close) and their impact on semiconductor stocks.

Apple Q3 Earnings Highlights

Revenue: Recorded solid growth, exceeding market expectations (approx. 108.8B -109.0B).
Key Drivers: Solid replacement demand for the iPhone 17 series and the high-margin Services segment (iCloud, App Store, subscription services, etc.) firmly supported earnings growth.
Capital Expenditures (CapEx) and AI Strategy:
Unlike Microsoft, Meta, and Amazon, which pour tens of billions of dollars into purchasing data center servers and chips, Apple maintains an "On-device AI" and capital-light strategy that processes AI directly on the device itself.
Thanks to this, it avoided concerns over margin erosion due to excessive AI investment costs and proved stable margins once again in this earnings report.

Impact on the Semiconductor Sector (Nvidia, Micron, DRAM, etc.)

The ripple effect of positive Big Tech earnings on semiconductor stocks varies depending on the nature of the company.

(1) Nvidia / AI Data Center Server Chips (Impact: Slight warmth)
Apple is not a major hyperscaler among Big Tech that sweeps up vast quantities of Nvidia's ultra-large AI data center GPUs.
Therefore, while it plays less of an explosive catalyst role in sending Nvidia's stock price soaring like Microsoft and Amazon did yesterday and today, it serves as a positive factor that adds to overall earnings stability across Big Tech.

(2) Memory Semiconductors (Micron, DRAM, TSMC, etc.) (Impact: Direct tailwind!)
The core of Apple's earnings is the sales volume of iPhones, MacBooks, and on-device AI devices.
Running next-generation iPhones and on-device AI features requires large quantities of much higher-spec mobile DRAM (such as LPDDR5X) and high-performance memory chips compared to before.
As the iPhone replacement cycle is confirmed, it directly translates into tangible demand expansion for the memory semiconductor value chain, including Micron (MU) and DRAM (Roundhill Memory ETF).

Thinking about how Micron got unfairly targeted because of Apple makes me so mad. Even now, they need to be silenced so they can't even bring up Chinese chips.. It's such a relief that Republicans and Democrats joined forces at a time like this. Tim Cook should just retire and go live in China.

A bipartisan group from the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives has reportedly demanded a plan to stop using Chinese memory chips by August 21st. In particular, Rubio of the administration reportedly stated beforehand that he would not tolerate playing with fire for personal gain using national security.

I think an unscrupulous company like Apple should end up like Nokia. I hope they go bankrupt in 5 years while still just selling phones.

Apple has always been an unethical company, ever since Steve Jobs. It's a company that makes money by bleeding its employees and vendors dry. Because of a semiconductor shortage? After sourcing them cheap and using them just fine all this time, now you say they're too expensive? You're going to use Chinese ones? Screw you, you scumbag Tim Cook, just get out. So in the end you're raising iPhone prices? I'm not using it.

Scumbag company. Turns out they ruined a German battery company again this time.. In the past, they tried to ruin Samsung and LG too, but Samsung and LG joined hands and survived.. I'm never buying Apple again. Switching to Galaxy..

Oh dear,, Apple...
As Apple falls, semiconductors are going up..

That's because it moves inversely to semiconductors... I hold both Apple and semiconductors, and on days when semiconductors go up, Apple goes down, and during this semiconductor crash, it hit an all-time high.

I hold Nvidia and Apple 50-50, and man... when one goes up, the other goes down, it's bittersweet...
