I regretted panic selling so much during COVID…

Now I don't even consider a hit like this to be a big deal, and since I'm in it for the long haul anyway, I'm holding. Hang in there, everyone.

What goes down like this will eventually go back up.

In the most recent March, it dropped so terrifyingly for a whole month that I held on and held on until I got so sick of it that I cut all my losses at the end of March. But then, starting in April, it began to rise as if taunting me, and it shot up to more than double the price I had bought it at. This time, I'm just closing my account and not looking at it. I'm holding out, thinking, "Since it's invested in a 401(k) anyway, it's money I can't use right now..."

It's the exact same pattern as with GME and crypto. Wiping out margin and wiping out leverage. Honestly, for semiconductors, it's just forced bashing. If you believe in the underlying stock, don't dump your leverage. Even if it drops too much, it gets reverse split and holds its ground. ETH leverage dropped like this too, but after even going through a reverse split, it rebounded and quickly recovered. There shouldn't even be any crying posts in this room. It goes up right when nobody expects it to. Just close the app, treat it as a long-term investment, and go back to your daily life.

I'm also down 50% on my principal for the money I put in this year (SanDisk, Micron), but I'm holding~
I'm putting in a little more every day. It doesn't feel great, but my thinking is that if I just keep holding, it'll go up within a few years.

I've held Nvidia in another account for a long time, and after enduring the 2022 crash, it went up nicely after that.
