I bought into KORU before the split, but I missed my timing, so I've been holding it for almost two months now and I'm down over $10,000. I'm feeling distressed wondering if it will ever recover, as only the number of shares has increased. If it were a regular stock, I would just hold it, but what should I do with KORU? Even though I'm stuck taking a loss, should I pull out now, or will it recover if I keep holding it?

The general consensus is that the peak for Samsung and Hynix for this year has already passed.
Even if they might go up next year, losses could grow even larger in the meantime.
Next time there's a rebound, how about switching to another stock instead of leverage?

Won't it recover? It would only fail to recover if the Korean KOSPI stayed like this, but since the KOSPI will recover, KORU will naturally recover too. The key issue, though, is when that will be.

Leverage, especially 3x, struggles even more to return to its original state when the stock's volatility is severe. Of course, if the Korean index surges again in the short term, there is a possibility of recovery, but if it continuously fluctuates, leverage often drops significantly compared to the index.

Theoretically, that's true, but after watching the ups and downs of leveraged funds over the past six months or so, I've noticed that when the underlying stock goes up, the leveraged one rises just as much. It's the same for SOXL, too.

The key issue is where everyone's position is.. 3x leveraged ETFs like koru and soxl have never recovered after hitting a previous peak. Sure, they broke through highs and set new highs in a bull market.. but right now we are in a downturn, so it's a different story from when things were rising.

Go to Yahoo or somewhere for both of them and at least look at the daily charts.. to see what the current situation is like.
Everything changes perspective depending on where your average cost basis is.. For people trapped near the peak to recover, there needs to be a new AI push. Simply saying that semiconductors will continue to be needed is already common knowledge, so it doesn't mean much. There's already news that all production volume through 2027 is sold out. Unless memory manufacturers create new supply volume, it will be hard to yield higher profits.

Leverage is just handing money over to the big players. They put out articles to get a lot of money flowing into leverage, and then they wipe it all out.

My average purchase price for SanDisk is high, so please advise whether I should buy more to average down and exit, or if it is better to just stay put.
